Can I give herbs and veterinary medication
Yes! You can safely give our herbal products with common medications, but consult your veterinarian first!
Herbs to use with caution : Some herbs like chamomile , parsley , or ginger may be safe, while others like St. John's wort may alter the effects of medications.
How often can I feed my dog herbs?
Herbs should be administered as a course of treatment. Regular administration may be beneficial if your dog frequently suffers from persistent or chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis or Crohn's disease. Please pay attention to the dosage instructions.
How do I feed the herbs to my dog
Simply mix into the food: You can simply mix the herbs into the food or sausage.
Dosage : Make sure to feed the herbs in moderate amounts. Too high a dose can cause side effects. Start with small amounts and increase slowly. The exact dosage is on the packaging!
Observe your dog : Introduce new herbs slowly and observe how your dog reacts. If you notice any signs of discomfort or digestive problems, discontinue the herbs immediately. Our herbal products are generally very well tolerated.
Detailed instructions are included with your order.
What you can do if your dog has diarrhea
If your dog has diarrhea, there are some steps you can take to help:
- Feeding break : Avoid giving your dog solid food for 12 to 24 hours to relieve stress on the gastrointestinal tract. Fresh water should always be available to prevent dehydration.
- Cooked carrots: Always help. Cook washed and peeled carrots until soft, mash them, and feed them to your dog alone and then with the bland food.
- Gentle food : After the feeding break, you can offer easily digestible foods such as cooked chicken (without skin), cooked rice, and cooked carrots. Feed smaller meals throughout the day.
- Probiotics : Our gastrointestinal herbs LOCO COLO with natural probiotics help to stabilize the balance of the intestinal flora.
- Hydration : Make sure your dog drinks plenty of fluids. Prolonged diarrhea can lead to dehydration, so you may also want to consider an electrolyte solution specifically for dogs.
- Medications : Avoid giving anti-diarrheal medications without consulting your veterinarian, as they sometimes do more harm than good.
